Dr. Billig, by using a model of an eye, demonstrated the use of the “N20 Cryosurgical System." This is not a new instrument tn the field of medicine, but new and welcome to Burdette Tomlin, since there are now five ophthalmologists on staff at the hospital. THE SYSTEM USES universally available nitrous oxide in a completely non-electrical instrument which provides controlled temperatures down to 89 degrees centigrade. It consists of an operating console, a variety of cryoprobes, and a mobile equipment carrier. Interchangeable cryoprobes can be used for surgery in ophthalmology, gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, and proctology. The ophthalmologists will use the cryosurgical system for cataracts, glaucoma and small tumors or lesions. It is a quick and simple way of treating these conditions. TO BE DELIVERED foi use in the hospital soon, is the nasopharyngolaryngoscope with an adapter for light source. This is similar to the endoscope used in examining the intestinal tract, but is used in examining nasal and pharyngal and laryngeal problems.

S. CAPE MAY - Lower Township officials have an opportunity to obtain upwards of 20,000 cubic yards of dredge spoils for use to rebuild the badly eroded sand dune here. At Monday night's bill night meeting of the township governing body, an offer from Sea Harvest Inc. was discussed. Under the proposal, the fisheries firm would provide the township with the bottom material dredged from an enlarged basin by the toll bridge near TwoJdile IN RETURN, the township would certify for tax purposes that the material was worth one dollar a cubic yard. Mayor Tom Clydesdale reported the governing body is looking into the

proposal. It would first havt to be determined if the dredge spoils are suitable for rebuilding the dunes. The granular size of the spoils would have to be a certain size in order to prove a stable dune material 4-H Gift Hunt
