Needlers On Rebound CAPE MAY The Needlers II jump *1 back on the winning path with three wins over C-View Inn; 15-2. 15-11, 15-10. Charlotte Ijimach supplied the serves while teammates Cookie Rague and Mary Ann llaflin led the

defense.

Following the C-View match the Needlers II returned to the court for a contest with Kona Sports. Kona grabbed the first two games behind Patty Lenxa and the outstanding playing of Debbie Brown. Needlers II managed to pull off the final game 15-7. THE COOKIE NOOKERS padded their first place position by sweeping all three games over Stumpo’s Strombolis. Kelly Casher and Lynnda Hawley played well for the Nookers, while I^e l^iyton and Lynn Jeffries sparked Stumpo’s effort. The Cookie Nookers then kept their momentum rolling wiht a 5-15,15-0,15-3 victory over Ocean Academy to avenge an earlier loss. Hawley and Judy Maxlowe used their devastating serve to power past Ocean. ERMA — Gateway Regional High School ran off victories in their first seven matches and dealt the Lower Cape May Wrestling squad a crushing

THE DOUBLES EVENTS saw Kona’s Mike Sclarra and Tony White down Bob Renxa and Larry Runke 8-4 and Donna Maxurek and Joan Hughes defeated Lois Campbell and Kay Runke with a

In mixed doubles Avalon managed to come back in a close match with Doug Newbold and Karen Wetherill's victory over Bob Hughes and Barbara

Goodman 8-9.
