Double Win CAPE MAY - Schramm and Hallman hammered out consecutive victories over Kramer Beverage 15-9,15-8,15-5 and DeKelco 15- 5, 15-11, 10-15 due to the serving of Stuart Cohen and the defense of Joe Halacz and Bob Pullinger. The Avengers did some avenging when they outspiked Sports N Stuff 16- 14,12-15,15-7 behind the <; triumvirate of John Wilsey. Alan Thomas and Brace Pritchard. LIBRARY III held off MVP-Riffraff for the second straight time as they rang up a 15-7, 15-17, 15-10 victory. Chuck Curtis, "Big” George Butler and ••Sticks” Farragher created waves in the MVP defense with their front line work. MVP rebounded to bury Dare Realty 15-3, 15-3, 15-3 despite the excellent play of Dare’s Frank Vogel and Bill Forrest. Shep Taylor. Tony White and Ted Ferrante sparked the MVP onslaught. Sports N Stuff stumped DeKelco with surprising efficiency as Lou Dwyer, BUI Garrison and Scott Mericle controlled the tempo of the match with fine pet play.

Anderson Sparks Tigers

rebound performance by. senior Kyle Anderson, the Lower Cape May boy’s
basketball team opened their season with a bang, capturing a 67-52 victory over Clayton high school here last Friday night. After a close first quarter which saw the Capers scrape out a 13-10 lead, the Tigers outsepred Clayton 14-7 in the second period behind the efforts of seniors Steve Puller and Randy Clark to open up a 27-17 halftime lead en route to their victory. Junior Greg Douglas (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Puller (10 points) also scored in double figures for the 1-0 Tigers, with Clark and senior John Bassett both pouring in 8 points. Clayton had four players in diouble figures despite the loss, led by Bruce Cooper's 13 points. This week, the Capers try to continue their winning ways as they were scheduled to take on nonconference opponent Bridgeton high at Erma on Monday and nonconference foe Williamstown high school at Williamstown tonight.
