STONE HARBOR - The borough Rescue Squad has concluded a busy year in which it responded to more than 400 emergencies The squad also acquired several pieces of equipment through donations These included a Life Pac 5 in memory of Marshall Fisher; a trauma Kit in memory of John Parton; six long boards, compliments of the Stone Harbor Lumber Co. and George Thompson. MEMBERS OF the squad recently completed a coronary care course given by Burdette Tomlin Hospital, and"several new members completed their EMT course. The guest speaker will be Gary Barker, who is a graduate of the Delaware Valley School of Horticulture. with a Masters' Degree from Rutgers University in Science and Agricutlre !,1e will discuss "how to develop your own -small greenhouse.” as well * as raising flowers and vegetables on a commer-cial-scale. Barber is also an instructor at Cape May County VoTech. Hospitalized Away from Home MONTCLAIR - Mildred B. Blakely of Stone Harbor was recuperating in Mountainside Hospital here last week after developin| double pneumonia and‘bronchitis while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Jane Gery of Glen Ridge and Stone Harbor, and family for the holidays. Mrs. Blakely, who is in Rm 402 at the hospital. 300 Bay Ave.. Monclair. N.J. 07042. reports she is slowly improving and would enjoy hearing from her friends. She plans to leave for Florida upon'recovery.
