Whew! What a winter! A record breaker! Take heart, nothing lasts forever. On theother hand, it sometimes seems that way. We’ve heard some tall tales lately about other winters. Seems sometimes folks ‘embellish’ a bit about remembered winters. "Call this cold?" someone asked us thfe other day. "When I was a kid, the winters were really bad. The snow got so deep, we couldn't even sec out the door," "Where did you live?" we ask6d. "Antartici?" AND SO IT GOES. But there's some good things happening out there and up there too, you know. The days are growing longer, for one thing. A month ago. the calendar brought us-to

fhe shortest day of the year. Nowadays, we’re having a good half hour or so more daylight. We're of the school of thought that believes we can’t have enough daylight. If you single gals-were up at midnight, hope the spirits showed you a picture of yoUr future husband. St. Agnes Eve is celebrated January 20 * wjien according to legend, A girl can see her future husband on the stroke of midni'ght. If you were sound asleep and missed the evfent, we hope you dreamed about , him anyway. BEN'S RESTAURANT reopens agajn today! Ben's Restaurant 1 , at 3820 Bayshore Rd..
