VINELAND - Cumberland County College’s Transitions Program will sponsor a group titled “Divorce: Survival ftfid Readjustment." This support group is free and open to comrpunity members. Six weekly meetings will be held, beginning Jan. 27. According to Steven Stolar, transitions counselor,* many individuals have indicated that such an experience would be of value. Stolar said„"The group should fill a void. Previously, people in the divorce situation have had to rely on family and friends to provide support. This sometimes puts unwelcome tension ort those relationships." "DIVORCE: SURVIVAL and Readjustment" will have five areas of focus on problems encountered in the separation and domestic transition. These are legal procedures, emotional and domestic violence,* career, financial considerations, and personal support systems. "The purpost? of this group is to provide emotional calm and direction to. women caught up io emotional outbreak," explained Stolar.
