SANDY AND At Meadowcroft arc blessed with a talented group of youngstefs. Their daughter Pam’s delightful voice is an asset to the chorus of the Stone Harbor Elementary School. - Inheriting their father’s long-time enthusiasm for Mummery, Pam. Al Jr., and Mark proudly strutted with their father on New Year's Day along with their young friends from Avalon — Jenny. Joey and
Johnny Kauterman. the children of Miriam and Joe Kauterman of 384 24th S^. They all marched in the Jersey Jester division of the Liberty Clowns and their, theme was "More Mother Goose in Toyland." Big Al and little Al were tin soldiers and the younger ones danced around
Mother G’s shoe.
There were two disappointments in an otherwise unforgettable day — Ruth and Gene Fisher (Pern’s grandparents) had "the bug" and sat with eyes glued to the T.V. set but still missed seeing their family And the Kautermans used color fHm in their camera, which can't be used by the newspaper, so we all missed seeing our 7-Mile delegates strut in what has become part of

BEFORE EACH meeting of the S.H. Seniors a few male members work out taking shots at basketball nets in the school gym. At the Dec. 7th meeting, Stone Harbor’s answer to Dr. "J" showed up. To our surprise a very dignified friend, and fisherman par excellence, known to us as "Andy" started leaping around the court like Meadowlark Lemon. The heck with this "Andy" bit; from now on he'll be known as "Dunkin Drew" Woolery. THE QUIETMAN Kershners of 75th St. were sunning themselves at their home in Vero Beach, Fla. and reading , our weather reports warily but family pulls were too strong and they flew home for the holidays. We would guess they’ll almost be weekly commuters for the new few
mdnths.
THE PARTIES continue even after the new year has commenced. Fr. Wes Martin and wife Ginny gave a great one fof their parishioners recently. Convversation centered around the Eagles-Dallas cham-
pionship game the following day. Loyalties and expert judgment conflicted and this writer is such an Eagles chauvinist her husband dragged her home quickly to prevent a pregame skimish.

SPEAKING OF the Eagles. Isn’t everyone delighted that fearsome Bill Bergey made his miraculous recovery on this island this summer* Almost impossible to imagine, that awesome bundle of strength on the day of the game can be the same gentle teddy bear we see with wife Mickey shopping locally with their three
sons.
How about an Avalon Loves Bill Bergey Day, Mayor Armacost* DAVE HABERLE tells that there will be a Special Sweetheart Ball on Sat., Feb. 21 at 8:30. You’ll come along, okay* SO GLAD that Betty Beard won a first prize in best ■ commercial lighting for Seashore Home SOpply. Her innovative and artistic windows ' would turn Scrooge into a pussycat.
