Bob certainly deserves this honor as he is presently Scoutmaster of the Dennisville troop along with his many other duties. Congressman Bill Hughes was present also, arid paid tribute to Bob and the many other Scouters there. They in turn thanked Bill, because every time a boy makes Eagle here in Cape May County, Bill sends him a handsomely engraved certificate. I MET A LOT of old friends there, too Ralph Runyan, of Wildwood Crest, Dan llolleman of North Wildwood, Jack O'Neal, DelHaven, Peter Hausman, Scout executive; -Bob Fothergill of Rio Grande, "Bunnie" Becker, of Woodbine, and Dr. John Brick, of CourtHouse. These are the men who kept Scouting alive in the Baysea district, and they deserve a lot of credit. I attended with Andy Grace, his wife, Kathryn, and daughter Maryjane. Years ago Andy was a Scfout neighborhood commissioner. and I was advisor for Explorer Post No. 65, when Bob was a participating Scout, so it whs a double pleasure'for me to see Bob processing in scouting this way. At the end of the ceremony Bob presented his wife Judy with a scouter's wifes award, and that was truly earned because she has helped Bob go to the top in scouting. NOW. BEFORE I close. I must mention that this Affair started a series of thrills, as I viewed with the

Our new President’s inauguration address was loaded with power, and it looks as though patriotism is now the "in” thirig, THAT MARES ME, as one citizen, very happy. I’ll review Pres. Reagan’s views in columns to come, but for now I can only state that I’m happy to see bur flag become a dominant symbol once more. I hope <n the balance of this week to see the Philadelphia Eagles become the champs at the Supebowl in New Orleans. That would round off an unforgettable time. Signups Set For Soccer •VILLAS- There will be sign ups for soccer for Lower Township residents, starting at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 31, at the Recreation Center on Bayshore Road here. Boys and Girls who will be 7 before April 1 and not 17 before July 1 are eligible to play in this league. All participants must present . proof of age before playing. ANY GIRLS who will be 13 before April 1 and not 154 before July 1, interested in signing up for an all girls’ Soccer Team may do so at the same
time. '
