Dr. Karp, a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been a member of the Shore Memorial Hospital medical staff since 1974 with privileges in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. In association with Franklin Scudder, M.D., Dr. Karp maintains offices on Shore Road in Northfield. Dr. Karp is an active attending physician in the Nephrology Division at the hospital.

His educational background includes a bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers State University, 1961; and a doctor of osteopathy degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1969.
