Set For Pier

OCEAN CITY - Two now entertainment features for 1981 are planned for the Music Pier here. Ed Hurst, TV personality and business executive, will begin a bandstand show at the Music Pier in May. Hurst, who hosted a, similar program from Atlantic City's Steel Pier for many years, will bring in nationally known entertainers to complement the dancers who appear on the program The dance sessions will be taped and aired via network affiliates, independent stations and satellite to millions of viewers throughout the East and beyond. Also on tap for the Music Pier is a series of b ig band concerts featuring the William Sackett Orchestra. The first of these is sot for 8:30 p m Valentine's Night. Feb. 14 Sackctt. a big band buff, singer and orchestra leader, has appeared at Palumbos. Valley Forge Music Fair, the Sheraton Hotel and hosted a big band TV show in New England before moving his group to the Delaware Valley The February 14th concert-dance will, be the pilot pogram and producer William Borclli said he will extend the big band ex travaganzas through the year in Ocean City if they prove successful.
