Academy Nominees WASHINGTON, D.C. - Five county residents are among 40 candidates nominated to ttie service academies by Congressman Bill Hughes (D-NJ). Nominated to the Air Force Academy were Walter George of Court Hous.e, Dougals Dannehower. Ocea'n City; and William Darling. Stone Harbor. NAVAL ACADEMY nominees were Robert Ritterhoff. Court House; and Jeffrey Parkin. Ocean City. Applicants were screen,ed by a selection committee chaired by Bruce Kibblehouse of Ocean City. Dan Money of Rio Grande also served on the commit- , tee. Final selection is up to each academy. Casino Trip AVALON - The Senior Citizens Organization (A#CO) has a full busload signed up for a casino trip * to Atlantic City Feb. 25. A few seats are still open for a trip April 8,and 9 to Washington, D.C., to see the cherry blossoms and other sights, with an overnight stop .in Baltimore. Reservations must be in by March 8, and can be made by calling 967-7953. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Community Hall, 30th St. and Avalon Ave.
