Drug Store Site Plan Due Again .

FISHING CREEK - Eckerd Drug’s revised application for a site clan review of a proposed storey on the site of the historic Eli Mickel House at Bays bore and Breakwater Rds. is expected to come before the Lower Township Planning Board this Thursday evening. At the January meeting, the board tabled Eckert s initial site plan application after it became apparent its original drainage plan for the site was unac-

ceptable.

THE BOARD consensus was that the revised plan consider the so-called 25year storm (instead of the proposed drainage engineering for runoff from the effects of moot severe storm in a 10-ytear period). Two other considerations are a retention tjasin to retain all runoff water on

; site, and a detention area

with an outfall pipe some 400 ft. to Mickel’s Run. v AT THE BOARDS l’ • • • 9

December meeting, Eckert was granted a variance despite inability, because of insufficient lot size, to meet the parking requirement in the township zoning ordinance. Strict ‘ adherence to the ordinance would dictate 161 . parking spaces, fcnd expert testimony had revealed that only 75 spaces could be accommodate were the entire parcel used for parking only. The board agreed to 45 spaces. IT WAS REVEALED at last month's meeting U»at a potential buyer for the historic house has come forward and that hopefully final arrangements would be made in time for this Thursday’s meeting. The house, owned by the family after whom the nearby Mickels Run is named, would be moved off the site. Thursday evening’s meeting begins at 7:30 in the township hall meeting room, Villas.
