Children’s Play Called ‘Tremendous Success’

* New Deadline

CAPE MAY - Saturday evening's showing of the ■Prince. Who Couldn't Talk" at Convention Hall here was a "tremendous success and the members of the Cape May Community Theatre couldn't be happier," according to Peter Vernon, director ' "We would like to^extend our greatest thanks, to the audience, the volunteers, and the schools whose par ticipation contributed to the success of this event,” he said following the overwhblmirig audience turnout. "Our special thanks gA to Larry Martino and the Margaret Mace Elementary Band for their musicial entertainment, to Bob Smeltzei 1 and the City of Cape Master their cooperation an^ support of our venture, ami to the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts whose financial assistance gave the Theatre an opportunity to expand its presentation.

A • WE ALSO offer a sincere apology to the people we unfortunately had to turn away at the door. We had anticipated a crowd of 200-300 people, but due to

the overwhelming public response, we ended up with , a. full house. Because of * possible fire hazard, we felt our safest alternative was to close admittance. ' "We are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon since more children’s entertainment will be included in our future plans,” Mr. Vernon concluded.
