Mews Notes from-

The Cape Mays Dolly Stanjk) 884-4770 :

YOU'LL NEVER See them walking together, but they live together, they’re Silver, Fluffy and Patchei — all Persian cats who've been making their home with Mrt. Marie Roehrenbeck of Cape May ever so many years now. Silver, who is really silver all over, can be seen trodding the Mall. Fluffy,, who is all black usually meanders along Hughes and Franklin Sts. and Patches' who really Idoks like his name — squares of orange and black all over -r he’s toddling close to home, which is quaint Page Sts. But come dinner hour or treatime, all three can be seen coming to theif porch and, would you believe, actually thumping the door with their paws to say "if* time to dine”. A welltrained trio of Cape Mayites such as you’ve never seen befogfe. PRETTY SOON now, you'll be seeing in various newspapers a little notice with a questionnaire. It all has to do with the evergrowing problem of where to park in Cape May. So a committee, called Parking atod Transportation Advisory Group headed by Charles Pesagno, is asking for your help. Perhaps you’ve some ideas. Fill out the form and mail it back as indicated. This volunteer study group is giving much of their time with plans and discussions, but they need your thoughts and suggestions too. Watch for this, fill it out, and tell us what you think. • • • THE CAPE MAY Branch of the Burdette-Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is doing something different to raise money says Mrs. Helen Hunter of Ohio Ave. Coin Cards are being distributed to members of the branch which totals 80 members, The coin cards hold $5^ each and when all are filled will make $400, which will be turned over to the hospital. Congratulations to this grpup and to Mrs. Hunter who is over-seeing ,this worthy cause. • • • OLAG THODEN and son.

GREG, of West Cape’May make new out of old - furniture that is" 1} all started out as a hobby and now they can’t fill orders fast 'enough. Some old piece of furniture that goes there all dull ahd neglected looking, comes out brand new and clean'. This is one pastime that proved to be profitable. THANK YOU DEPT.to George Kelk, new supervisor at the Cape May Acme Store. He’s all for making new friends of everyone, always ready to listen to customers, and smiles so much. We welcome him to our city. He’s from Vineland, and already likes it here so much. To Mrs. Nettie Duncan of Perry St. Her volunteer help for the Rescue Squad is tops. Also thanks to Karen Andrus,Eleanor Gauvry, Alice Joyce, Ann Dubln, Rebekah Martin. Eleanor Rutherford, Regina Spence, Dot Burton, Sylvia Coleman and many more who will be listed here as their names are available. SPECIAL THANtfS to young-at-heart LILLIAN STERLING who came prepared with tablet and pencil at meetings, did her "homework" and then made a series of contributions to the Squad. That’s dedication! It’s especially gratifying to have one organization respect another. Such was the case with Agnes Nehring of Victorian Towers who took special interest to make the Rescue Squad Card Party a success — even though as president of the Altar and Rosary Society of Oiir Lady Star of the Sea Church of Cape May she has much to do herself. The Squad salutes her!
