Volunteer Appeal

COURT HOUSE - Since 1881. Red Cross volunteershave been providing vital services to the community. According to Tina Remy, chairman of volunteers for the county chapter, Red Cross volunteer^ are an invaluable resource. J Volunteers serve as instructors for Red Cross safety and health courses, blood donors and blood donor aides, drivers, nurses, disaster relief specialists, and counselors to members of the armed forces and their family, Miss Remy Said. LAST YEAR, more than 300 volunteers spent 20,933 hours of their time providing direct service to the people of the county. “More volunteers are needed,” said Miss Remy. "When people come to Red Cross to volunteer, we make every effort to match their interest and skills with assignments they will enjoy."
