Auxiliary Installs AVALON - The Ladles Auxiliary of the Volunteer Fire Dept, recently installed officers for the year: president, Lois Scarpa;, vice president, Lorraine Matalucci;' secretary, Terri Breslin; treasurer, Rose Marie Chew. Plans for a "Penny Party” to be held April 10 are beomg discussed. A cake and plant sale will be held in May. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month in the firemen's meeting room of the Borough Hall.

Honored oh Service to CG Center
CAPE MAY - Anne Weinberger, 40-year member of the sisterhood organization of Beth Judah Temple, Wildwood, was recently honored by the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in this city. In ceremonies conducted ' jn Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a
citation was awarded Ms. Weinberger by Lt. Cmdr. David N. Russel, 7th Coast Guard District, on behalf of the commanding officer of the Training Center, Capt. James R. Kelly. THE CITATION commended Ms. Weinberger for her efforts in promoting
the welfare of Coast Guard personnel. For a 20-year orriod, Ms. Weinberger ad ministered a Sunday breakfast program on behalf of the sisterhood, treating a supportive at'mosphereand "home away from home” for thousands of Coast Guard recruits.

PTA To Hold Conference
ABSECON - The New Jersey PTA will hold its Southern Regional Conference for Region IV (Camden, Burlington. Monmouth and Ocean Counties) and Region V (Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties), on Wednesday, March 18, at Quail Hill, Historic Smithville Inn, Route 9 here. The topic of the conference, "Forgotten Children of New Jersey,”
will afford the local unit members a, look at the development of the neglected child ahd the problem of teenage pregnancy. PANELISTS WILL be Cindy Schur, Assistant supervisor of the STate Division of Family Services, Atlantic County, and Carol Rovello, director of Crossroads Runaway Program, Inc. Moderator will be Dorothy Kerr, vice •president and director, Region V.
$600 Raised for Cancer
COURT HOUSE - The county Vocational School Board of Education, before its last regular board meeting, presented a $601.50 check to the American Cancer Society, Cape May Unit. The monies were raised by the vocational schools at a dinner held Feb. 9 as part of the district’s week-long open house observance of National Vocational Education Week. Gamaliel Broadley, Vocational Board president, and William Tozour presented the donation to Irv and Ginney Posternock, crusade chairpersons for the county Cancer Society. THE BENEFIT dinner was one of the many events which took place during Vocational Education Week. Other events included open house, VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Skill Olympics, Career Day Speakers, and a VICA Awards Assembly. The benefit dinner has become an annual event with a ; different charity receiving the donation each
