Club Host To District Conference
WILDWOOD — The Evening Membership Department of the Wildwood Civic Club hosted the Second District Spring Conference and Craft Contest of the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs. The event was held at the Civic Club on Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood with Mrs. Charles (Lena) Veraaggi, of North Wildwood, 2nd District vice chairman, as the presiding officer. Theme for the conference and contest was ^Beauty All Around Us”. GREETINGS TO THE members and the visitors were brought by Mrs. A.C. Chambers, president of Wildwood Civic Club and Mrs Peter Yecco, chairman of the Evening Membership Department.
State officers in attendance were Mrs. George JacoHen, Southern ViceChairman; Mrs. Waltber Famham, Northern Vice Chairman; Mrs. Philip Vivona, State Craft Contest Chairman; Mrs. Raymond Ruff, Southern Assistant to Crafts, and Mrs vAsa Colson, Sr., Parliamentarian. MRS. ALLAN WHITE, chairman of the Evening Membership Department, was the main speaker and Dr. and Mrs. J.S.D. Eisenhower, Jr., provided
musical selections.

Mrs. Harry Hudson, craft chairman, announced that the judges for the Craft Contest were Mrs. Betty Crilly and Mrs. Marsha O'Donnell. Mrs. Vivona, state craft contest chairman, announced the winners and Mrs. Alan White, state EMD chairman, presented the awards.
Needlework Exhibit Set
OCEAN CITY — The city Art Center will hold its second annual needlework exhibit at 409 Wesley Ave., opening 1 to 3 p.m. April 4 and running throughout the month. This is not a competitive exhibit, and all categories of needlework, amateur and professional, will be accepted. Entries need not be for sale, but may be if the entrant desires. All entries are to be delivered to the Arts Center between March 22 and 31. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday, and 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. One award, determined by popular vote, will be offered.
WILD.WOOD CR. - Five students in the seventh and eight grades at Crest Memorial School have been named to the first honor roll (all A*s) for the second Kiwanis Sets Casino Trip CAPE MAY - The Kiwanis Club will sponsor its second fund raising casino excursion to the Brighton Hotel - Casino, Atlantic City, Thursday, March 19. The buses will leave the Acme Parking Lot in Cape May at 7:15 p.m. and return to the lot by 1 a.m. For ticket information call Don Dodson, 884-9686, or Herman Harmon 884-0413.

CAPE MAY - The Women’s Community Club held its regular meeting at the Historical and Community Center, Mrs. John Veldhoven served as hostess. Miss Lee Dawson, chairman of the literature department, gave a talk 09 the activities of her department. Assisting her in the program were Mrs. Helen Hunter, Mrs. Winifred Jones and Mrs. Matilda Queroli. The next regular meeting will be March 19. The guest speaker will be the Reverend Robert O. Davis of the Macedenia Baptist Church. He will have as his subject "Africa and Antiques.”
