We love March, but we have to warn you, it’s a tricky month. Keep a sharp eye, just in case. You know, one of the biggest blizzards ever — the Blizzard of ’88 — occurred smack in the middle of the month, March 11, 12 & 13 nearly a century ago. Anyhow, to fill you in a bit, it was a mild springlike day, March 11, 1888 (temperature was in the mid 40s), but by evening a heavy rain begun and the temperature started going down. Before midnight the rain changed to snow. During the night of the 12th and through that day, and into the 13th, the storm raged, with the wind up to,80 mph at one point (artd even higher for awhile).' On the 13th the mercury fell to 11 degrees above zero. SO, YOU NEVER know about March. You can expect to see wide changes in March weather. But, we hope it’s going to be a jgreat, great month in spite w the unpredictability of it all. St. Paddy’s Day is next Tuesday, March 17th. ^lello to all our Irish friends who’ll be celebrating as well as the many non-Irish who celebrate too. (We can’t find enough happy occasions to celebrate in this life, you know!) CAPT’N ARAB’S - unexpectedly good dining. From the outside, Capt’n Ahab’s, located on Rt. 47 (Wildwood Blvd.) between Rt. 9 & Garden State Parkway, belies the totally different feeling you will experience once inside. The decor is quiet &
