Kona Aces Win Ofer Woodbine

Team Tennis at Jersey Cape Racquet Club saw Kona Aces defeat Woodbine by a score of 40-13. In singles Kona's Tony White scored a 8-0 victory over Dr. Choi and Donna Mazurek over Woodbine’s Karen Farbman. 8-1.

In doubles Kona kept the lead with Bob Hughes St Bob Sheppard scoring 8-0 over William Clark & Bruce Siciliano, Joan Hughes & Donna Steppp scoring a 8-6 over Julie Serrano & Debra Mores! and Tony Chrletzberg & Shirley l.uitman 8-6 over Dr. Choi St Julie Serrano.

Children’s Workshop Set

MIDDLE TWP. - The Wetland’s Institute is sponsoring a Children’s Workshop^on Local Birds on Saturday mornings 9:30 to 11, April 11 thru May 9. "We will paint our local birds and have slides, fieldtrips and discussions on our feathered friends,"

Softball, Baseball Tryouts

Hole In One AVALON - Local rest- c dent Joe Rich now has that golfing rarity, a hole in one, to boast about. Using a six iron, Rich sank his tee shot on the 140-yard 9th hole at the Stone Harbor Golf Club March 1. Witnesses to the ace were Marvin Wells Sr., Joseph Friziola, both of Avalon, and Mike D’Allessandro of Villas.

Tryouts for softball, open to residents of Cape May, West Cape May, Cape May Point, North Cape May, Villas, Erma, and Erma Park, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow, Friday Boatjng Safety Course Given ERMA — A boating safety course, under the auspices of the N.J. Marine Police, has been presented to all 7th grade students at the Richard M. Teitelman

School here.

Students were taught one hour a day for five days. In addition to the course, students received booklets which included, exercises they completed as part of their responsibility. Prior to completion of the course, they were tested on their understanding and

knowledge.
