•Dancing Raises $5,000

COURT HOUSE - Close to $5,000 in pledges were raised during a recent dance-a-thon for the American Cancer Society, sponsored by the Middle Township School Student Council. Some 142 students participated in this year's •K-hour fund-raiser, which received assistance from the school staff and com-" munity.

THIS YEAR’S Student Council organizers included Randy Beverly, Dawn Farland, Kathy McKaig, John Francis, Lisa Bond and Scott Dempsey. Special assistance was received from Mister Donut, McClure’s Gulf, Hobbcraft West, WaU Fire Equipment, Court House Bakery and Krown's Records.

Pinelands Conference Set April 9

POMONA - The "Economic Future of the New Jersey Pinelands" will be the subject of the Fourth Annual Pine Barrens Research Conference, sponsored by the Stockton Center for Environmental Research and the Stockton State College Economics Program, April 9 at the campus here. Speakers at the workshop sessions and

panel discussion will consider the effect of the Pinelands Master Plan on the region’s economy, especially on agriculture, local government, landowners, developers, indtAg!.. and employers.
