SEA ISLE CITY - Long term resident and civic leader Lou Fusco was given a testimonial party at the Springfield Inn, with 300 friends attending, on
his retirement.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a special city resolution to Fusco by Mayor Dominic Raffa and Commissioner William J. Kehner. Mayor Raffa praised Fusco for the many things he has done for the city and its people
over the years.
Commissioner Kehner read the city resolution, which summed up some of his accomplishments: A RESPECTED member of its community for the past 33 years, a highly regarded businessman and devoted father and hus-
band, Fusco has been Grand Knight of Madonna Maria Council, Knights of Columbus, for three terms, an officer sirxfe 1962 and financial secretary for the past 17 years. H^ia one of the organizers and member of the city Volunteer Ambulhnce Corps, member of American Legion Post 340, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1963, and Italian American Club and volunteered his services in the construction of the buildings of the Knights of Columbus, the Italian American Club and the
VFW Poet 1963,
Fusco was also honored by the Chamber of Commerce in 1968 - for his endeavors in the first "Skimmer Weekend” in

SEA ISLE CITY - Louij Claire Raffa, 16, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Dominic C. Raffa, has been selected to compete in the 1961 Miss T.E.E.N. of New Jersey to be held at the Cherry Hill Hyatt House, Cherry Hill. This pageant is the official state-wide finals for the Miss T.E.E.N. Pageant to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in December. Contestants are between the ages of 14 and 18 and must maintain at least a "B” average in school. THEY ARE REQUESTED to participate in the Volunteer Service Program of the Miss T.E.E.N. Through this program many young ladies are becoming involved in community activities by contributing at least 12 hours of time to some worthwhile charity or civic work.
Throughout the nation, each state realizes over 5,000 hours volunteer service through the program. Among the prizes the winner of the Miss T.E.E.N. of New Jersey Pageant will receive is an all-expense paid trip to compete in the Natibnal Finals at the Convention Center, Albuquerque, and a $500 cash scholarship to the school of her choice. Over $15,000 in Cash Scholarships will be awarded at the National Pageant in December. MISS RAFFA is sponsored by The Greater Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies include: Working on political campaigns, ceramics, school organizations, water skiiing, snow skiing, swimming, skating and teaching religion to small children.
