Here’s the latest news from the pages of the Avalon Courier, the student publication of the Avalon Elementary School: A Computer Far McDonough About two yours ago Mr Zurawski, former owner of the Whltebrier,held a marathon He raised 12.000 for the Avalon School. The school decided to buy a TRS 80 Level II computer. It cost about 11,700. They also bought an Expansion Interface which makes the computer more powerful, a mini disk drive which acts like a record player that puts information in the computer and *2S0 worth of tapes They also have blank and canned tapes, which are tapes with Information already on them. They picked 10 people from 7th and 8th grade that are on the "Gifted and Talented' plan They are learning to make their own tapes The computer is located in Mr McDonough's room -Steve Gasklll and * Scott Garner* I Sentence You There were many "I Sentence You" letters in this week. And choosing two wasn't euay But when it came right down to it, Bobby Jo Sikora of the 5th grade had the beat sentence for the aeniora. It was "Walter Always Taught Eddie Ratios."
