Honors Go To 67 at Catholic
N. WILDWOOD - Wildwood Catholic High School listed 67 students who attained honors during the third quarter. First honor students (general average of 93 or above, no major subject under 85 and no failure in any subject), listed eight seniors to lead the school. Those students are Cynthia Bartolomeo, Paul Versaggi, Richard White, Jane Saggiomo, Patricia Hinke, Rosemarie Hee, Loretta Magee and Carol Neville. 1 FIVE JUNIORS attained first honors, including Andrew Tomlin, Julia Baumann, Ellen Karavangelas, Patricia Gibbons and Joseph Steady. Leading the sophomore class with honors are: Joanne Magee, Karen Ruggieri, Louis Sedotti, Ailene Coughlin and Dawn Skomsky. Achieving first honors in the freshman class are Laura Grayson, Carolyn
Silvestro, Marta Erceg, Erin McCormack and Lisa
Sowa.
OF THE 44 STUDENTS attaining second honors (general average of 85 or above, no major subjects under 85 and no failure in any subject) 19 are members of the graduating class: James Leahy, Victoria Bacino, Mary Ann Bove, Rosemary Church, Kelly Salasin, Donna Celia, Theresa Simmons, Gail Donahue, Kathy Hober, Edward Shfm, Colleen Young, Karen Brolly, Benjamin Church, Suzanne Haggerty, Andrea Jurkiewici, Judith Buck, Denise Fiscella, James Schweibinz and Christopher Welke. Juniors who attained second honors include: James Kardas, Susan Slockridge, Mafia DeSantis, Raymond Marcoloqgo, Charles Kelly, James White and Patricia Gavin. From the freshman class there were six students including: Marion Hughes, Martin Marcolongo, Dawn Clark, Louis Gattis, Paul Koch and Nancy Coon. Named Head Of Welfare TUCKAHOE - The Opper Township Committee has appointed Township Clerk Barbara Camp as Director of Welfare for the township, replacing' Thomas Pattison, who recently resigned. The Welfare Board suggested that the new director of welfare be someone with regular hours at Township Hall. Mayor Mlgliaccio suggested Mrs. Campr, as she is at Toyvnship Hall during regular business hours, and'is most qualified for the position, with her background and training as Township Clerk. The committee concurred. Mrs. Camp assumed her duties April 7. Topic ‘ Heritage’ CAPE MAY - The Rev Robert 0. Davis of the Macedonia Baptist Church was the guest speaker recently at the Women's Community Club. His topic was ‘The African Heritage." ^ He had a very unusual display of ebony woodcarvings done by the natives, African musical instruments. which he played and had his audience clap hands to the rhythmic tone. Rev. Davis also had on display French and Victorian articles dating back
to 1845.
