w parades are the greatest, and that's just what it was in Cape May. Hundreds gathered on the Mall with the Easter Stroll starting at 1:90 and final judging beginning at 2:30. Four contestants were picked for each category and prizes awarddo to three In each group. Here they are: Best Dressed Girl under 12 years — 1. Chris Mer ryfield, 2. Jerry Inderwies was grand-chairperson welcoming all to the Easter activities and reminding them often that it was a combined effort of so many hard-working people — such as Helen and Reginald Brown, Karen Turner, Mary Loper, Marlon Bermender, Vera Hanson, Terry Browh, Bob Sheehan and Dolly Stango. Shirley Stiles was committee chairperson and Dolly Stango chaired the judge committee. Last, but surely not least, Fred Coidren, Cape May’s City Manager, smiling all the way, helped present prizes, shook hands and encouragingly inspired the event. During the final event of the Hat Category, Jerry Inderwies said, “Let's give them all a prize." And so it was, with everyone going home happy! It was the best Easter Parade ever with the nyeather Just perfect. • • • NOT TO BE underdone was the Easter Egg hunt on April 18 at the Lafayette Street School playground, with more than 200 children and their parents attending. The Easter Bunny arrived via a Cape May fire truck and every child received some sort of goodie. Most were just thrilled to pose for pictures along with the well-fed Easter Bunny! The Egg Hunt on the field was for various age groups with prizes of Erfbter baskets provided by Morrow’s Nut House and the Greater Cape May
Chamber of Commerce. Winners were: 2-4 Year- Olds — Stephen Seggern, Fran McMahon, Scott Hamilton; 5-7 Year-Olds -Mary Ellen Markley, Marybeth Stocking, Jason Lyon; 8-1# Year-Olds — Kevin Peterson, BiUy Goodwin, Megan Stanton.

Dolly Noth and Mr. and Ms. Jerry Inderwies. Shirley Stiles chaired both events. She did it all with a smile and even kissed co-workers who all helped make the event the success it was. 0 0 • VERY SPECIAL thanks to Rev. Spriggs and his Boy Scout Troop. They helped in so many areas, especially crowd control. Our Boy Scouts are tops and we thank them each one for their unselfish concern. It was the best Easter Egg hunt and Easter Parade ever.
