TV Movie Is Learning Aid

AVALON — The annual spring luncheon sponsored by the’Stone HarborAvalon Branch of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for Jhe benefit of the hospital will \ beheld from 11:30a.m. to2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Henny's Driftwood Dining Room, 97th St. and Third Ave.; Stone Harbor. Daisy Day Set Daisy Day volunteers will be collecting for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Cape May County May 9. Delta Lambda Chapter will furnish the volunteers seeking donations at Rio Mail and other shopping malls and supermarkets in the area.

ERMA — A demonstration of the effectiveness of TV as a learning tool was given at the TeitelmanSchool here with the use of a TV Movie, "The Pride of Jesje Hallman,” starring Johnny Cash, and the movie script. Reading groups read the script, tfien watched the TV show. The reading and seeing process underlined the. importance of reading and writing.
