Herald & Uirtern 6 May 81 Sews Notes from Seven Mile Beach M'Ellen Rowland 368-2294
Jane k Carey Boss of 84th St. are always surrounded by friends. Last weekend they entertained three couples from Haddonfleld for the weekend: Mr.A Mrs. Ernest Dense, Mr.Jk Mrs. Howard Lamey and Mr* Mrs. Francis Madeleine. The Bosses are also giving a party, jointly, with Roth k Gene Fisher of 1011 7th St. A Third Ave. To celebrate Marguerite Kletibocher'k birthday. Marguerite isn't shy about telling us which but we won’t and we’ll bet you couldn’t come within 10 years of being correct. The Fishers are having the B-day party at their home this weekend. • • • Carol Leighton (Mrs. Edward) is taking reservations for a trip to Bermuda approximately Nov. 16-20 A firm date isn’t possible yet, due to fluctuation of air fares and schedules. It may leave earlier in November. This isn’t a benefit for anything perse. It’s just a chance for Seven-Mile-Beachers to enjoy a trip to a jewel of the sea, Ber-
muda, with compatible travelers. We’ve been around a lot (geographically speaking of course) but have never been to Bermuda. That’s tantamount to living in Philadelphia and never visiting Independence Hall or the Liberty Bell. This time we might make up for previous deductions — neither one of us has been to Bermuda and we’re getting a little tired of withering looks when the subject comes up. • • • FREQUENTLY THERE is a question about who runs the famUy? No question in this household — a . 24 in. long and 8 in. high mini-dachshund who has us perfectly trained. Therefore, our hearts go out to three' famiUes who have recently lost their canine friend of many years standing. One such person tends the bridge linking Stone Harbor to the Wildwoods. He always brightens our trips with a friendly greeting and a pat on the head for the dominant member of the family. TV

day he told us he had lost his eleven-year old "Lab” to p*rvo-virus. They had tried to get him shots but the vaccine wasn’t available at the time. The last Ume we took our enfant terrible to Dr. Veiln at the Cape Veterinary Hospital he told us that the vaccine was "even more effective than had ben hoped" and when calling for an appoinfrnent for Schnitiel’s next booster shot we should inquire, Whether or not, it would be aecessary.
