leaders.

"We are pleased that this long overdue honor to our former Mayrir is at last to be a reality" Mayor Raffa said. "Mr. Haffert. who served as mayor of Sea Isle City from 1945 to 1956, was ver? concerned with youth and recreation so this dedication of one of the city's most popular recreation areas in his name is most appropriate," the mayor said. Primarily, he said, they would spur South Jersey’s economy and enhance its identity as an important region of the State. Membership on both authorities would be made up of residents of Burlington, Ocean, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Atlantic, Cumberland or Cape May Counties, except for two Cabinet members, serving ex-officio. The Exposition Authority legislation provides for "buildings and facilities in South Jersey for sporting events, trade shows, conventions, cultural events, and other expositions. To be located on the site of the former Garden State Racetrack in Cherry Hill, the exposition center will be known as the Garden State Recreation Center. The wording of the bill permits construction of stadiums, playing fields, gymnasiums, club houses, a racetrack, exposition hall . for trade shows, cultural events conventions etc.

Noise Owner Peril

WILDWOOD — Hie more than 1,000 noise and rowdiness complaints against rentals la^t summer won’t be repeated here this season, if Mayor Muziani has his way. The mayor told a group of real estate agents Friday that he intends to see to it that the mercantile licenses of rooming house and apartment owners where such offenses occur are revoked. The problem Is usually with group rentals. Mr. Muziani called upon the agents for their help. Clinic Funds, Site Uncertain

LOWER TWP. — The Reagan cutbacks in Washington have precluded federal funding of a proposed regionalized health clinic in the old township hall annex here. It has also been learned that the township may be interested in the site to expand the present undersized maintenance garage facilities adjacent to the annex to accommodate new equipment, especially trash trucks which can’t fit inside the garage. The owner of nearby Historic Cold Spring Village has been interested for some time in moving the main portion of the fire-damaged old township hall up Seashore Rd. to the village. Private funding, such as thru a foundation, appears to be the only remedy for the emergency clinic serving the Greater Cape may-Lower Township area. Utility (From Page 1) — Encouragement of economic alternate energy sources. The company may give incentives for solar water heating, cogeneration, or on-site generation, such as windmills. — PURSUIT OF opportunities to have others make needed investments for the. company. The possibilities include further contracts to purchase excess output from other electric systems, and encouraging customers to make investments in equipment. "We intend to aggressively pursue this "New Direction" to relieve the company of some of the massive burden of capital expenditures which we would otherwise face. It involves a major shift in emphasis and itconfirms our conviction that the era of unbridled beneficial growth will not return during this decade," Feehan concluded.

Eligibility for benefits is based on your date of birth and the amount is based on your covered annual earnings shown in your record over your working lifetime. Incorrect information on the application for a number could seriously affect your benefits rights later. Many employers will not hire you unless yo can show a Social Security card because the law requires them to collect and pay Social Security taxes on the earnings of each person they employ, and they need a correct Social Security Number for this purpose. PEOPLE 18 OR over must apply for a card in person, but people nder 18 may apply by mail or phone. If you were bom in the United States, a birth or baptismal record will be necessary for proof of age and citizenship. For proof of identity we may accept any document which includes your signature, photograph, or physical description, such as driver’s licenses, draft card, voter’s registration card, marriage record, school identity card, newspaper birth announcement, and similar documents.’

IF YOU WERE BORN outside the United States but are now a citizen, you will need to submit either a U.S. passport, a naturalization certificate, a U.S. citizen identity card, a certificate of citizenhip, or a consular report of birth. If you are not a U.S. citizen but are living in or visiting the U.S. and want to apply for a Social Security number, you will need an Alien Registration card 1-151 or 1-551 or U.S. Immigration Form 1-94,1-185, 1-186 or 1-586 (and SW-434, if applicable), 1-95,1-184, or other appropriate immigration forms. You will need to bring them to the Office in person. YOU SHOULD SUBMIT either the original document or a copy certified by the agency which issued it. We will return any documents you submit. If you have trouble getting the necessary documentation, Social Security will be glad to help you. Give us a call at 800-272-1111. Q. I HAD A Social Security card, but loot it. How do I get a new one? A. Social security will issue you a duplicate card with the same number, but. you are required to put a new application and submit proof of identity. Since the

application needs to be checked against exisiing records, it will take the same amount of time as'applying for a new card — about six weeks. Q. WHEN I graduate in June I plan to get married. When I apply for a Social Security card in April, should f use my maiden name or my soon-to-be-married name that I hope to have the rest of my life? A. You would have to use your present name if you want a card right away. You can apply for a name change after you're married by submitting evidence showing your old name and evidence showing your new name. Q. MY DAD AND I have ttw same name. Why can't I ule his card until I can get one? A. While some . people may have the same name, no two people have the same Social Security number. You would be risking errors and confusion in your own earnings records at Social Security for the rest of your life. Also, if you father is retired, for example, you could cause him to lose some benefits by your earnings. Delton Brooks is manager of the Social Security office In Wildwood
