THE MIDDLE TOWNSHIP High School Baseball Teams have settled down now and the boys rank sixth inthe CAL with a 5-4 record. They have no hitters in the top 20 and only Neal Chase and Ken Johnson are mentioned among the pitchers with 1-1 records. The Lady Panthers are tied for sixth in the League with a 5-6 record. Among the leading hitters are Caren Forbes and Rannon at seventh and ninth. King has a 5-4 pitching record THE TRACK TEAM has apparently won the CAL with a win over Pleasantville that has been protested. It seems that a hurdle was incorrectly placed and the referee awarded Middle all three places in the event. Outstanding performers on the girls track team are Kim Shelton in 400 meter and relays; Lisa Petrlca in the 800; Suzette Colicttin the Discus; Jackie Hubbard in the 200; Renee Spaulding in the Hurdles and 400 meter; Anna Marie Lighty in the 300 meter run and Monica Richardson in the high jump. AMONG THE BEST of the boys are Keith Money in the hurdles; Tim Saddler in the sprints; Greg Stone, the pole vault; Jim Martin in the 400 pieter; Richard Platt in the high jump and Frank Brown in the high jump Mike Douglass. Chuck Mcllvaine, Tom Sponaugle, and Phil Bucher are representing the Panthers on the Golf Team.
