8ATURDAY. MAY 23rd is the date for the greatest flea market celebration ever. It’s all being handled by the Cape May Rescue Squad Auxiliary for, .the benefit of the Squad... so many new pieces ofjfcquipment are projected according to Chief •fmeph Crouch and believe me, this energetic group of 65 women are pushing hard to see that we do our best towards the contribution of same. Mity-Lou Prichard is chairperson and she already has some great ideas. It’ll be right at Franklin and Washington Sts. where the Fire Department ..and Resuce Squad are housed. v The Squad requests that if you’ve anything in the way of articles which they can sell, please do call Kitty-Lou at 884-4528 and arrangements will be made to' pick up same. Or Bernice Senger at 884-2547 and Terry Laman at 884-3971. Small pieces of furniture are desired, some clothing, and whatever you think might bring Wsomc fuhds for the Rescue Fund. REFRESHMENTS ARE being planned to — coffee, cakes, buns, hot dogs, sauerkraut — all freshly made right on the spot. Also to be raffled is a beautifully hand-made Afghan all embroidered with tiny flowers. I» could also be used as a tablecloth on your dining-room table or, even as a shawl for evening wear. It’s simply one-of-a-kind as never seen before. The second Tuesday of

the month is now the Rescue Auxiliary meeting night, and members are needed to make it possible to have more events for fund-raising ALL GOOD WISHES to Anne Hnghet, widow of Dr. Harold Hughes. She’s moved from the Hughes great house and is busy fixing up her new little home. • • • PRETTY SOON now, the

new “Victorian” Marine National Bank will be housed at the corner of Washington and Madison Aves. The manager will be Bob Pavkov who is currently assistant vice-president. Opening of the Cape May branch will mark the beginning of a period of expansion... two additional branch openings will occur before Summer; one in Stone Harbor and the other in Ocean City. Jerry SUM is Marine’s advertising coordinator. The Cape May branch is to be a-la-Victorian motif and we anxiously await the completion of this building (Page 13 Please)
