Heralfli and LANTERN Spring Guide To Dining and Entertainment

May is in her full swing now and life is heading for a fever pitch coming up at the end of the month. Warm weather (with plenty of moisture) is speeding up Nature’s machinery to its maximum capacity. All the leaves of most of our trees and shrubs will be fully grown within a few days. Most of the migrant birds have arrived, except for the stragglers. We can often relate to those birds who get around to where they’ve supposed to be — eventually. But Nature is a lot tougher on those birds than it is on us. The late arrivals who do their next building later than the other guys give their young a poor start in life and come next fall, those later birds will be younger and weaker than their cousins, and more likely to be overtaken by storms when they start heading south. WE RE GLAD we folks who get abound to things sooner or (usually later), don't have to suffer such serious consequences. But we do have to trot to keep up. While you’re out there looking down and around, be sure to take a few moments each night to look up, too. To date we have traveled almost half way along our yearly path around the sun, since the year began. This means that new star groups have come into view at this stage of our journey A full Flowei* Moon will be shining on the 18. the 24 and the three days following. • • • • CAPTURE THE good times at Fred’s Tavern!
