Boro Girl Wins Overall Science Honors

AVALON - Michelle Clayton of 1339 First Ave. was the over all winner of the Albert Einstein Science Fair at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, co-sponsored by the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Inquirer in April. For some years local schools and others in the Delaware Valley area have held science fairs at

Stockton State College. Lynne Sylvestro, Michelle’s teacher, has frequently acted as a judge. These fairs comprise 10 categories, and students must prove their theories with scientific reasoning. There are three different awards: 6th, 7th and 8th grades are eligible for the Einstein Award. 9th and 10th graders for the Ben Franklin award, and 11th
