STONE HARBOR - Lillian Dougherty was the recipient of the Chamber of Commerce’ll annual award to the moet worthy senior citizen during its May 18 dinner meeting at Benny’s. Mrs. Dougherty is one of the original members of the Stone Harbor Seniors, which was formed in 1970. She has been the chairperson of many social functions oVer Ihe years, including chairlady of the Sick and Welfare Committee, which ensures that all sick or bereaved persons are remembered SHE ATTENDS to her duties in “a quiet, enthusiastic, and dedicated manner” , and said Chamber President, Glenn A. Towriley, ‘'she is wellliked by everyone.” Bom in Philadelphia, she has two brothers and one sister and has two children (her son Bill owns and operates the Stone Harbor Pharmacy.) and seven

grandchildren. She came to live in Stone Harbor in 1970 and Is a member of St. Paul’s church council.’the Sea Lions, Stone Harbor Seniors and Burdette Tornlin’s Auxiliary. Her hobbles include collecting U.S. stamps and coins and making ceramics. Mrs. Dougherty who obviously so astounded and overwhelmed at receiving the well-deserved tribute her thanks were almost unheard as she received a standing ovation.
