Sweet June! Just a few more days of May — and then the feasts of summer! Where did June come from? The name comes to us from the ancient Romans, but we are . not sure what they named it for. Your guess is as good as ours. Perhaps they named it for the Goddess Juno who was the guardian of weddings — and there surely is that in June. It’s been a beautiful lush springtime hereabout with the brightest greens within memory. Look for the local strawberries; they are surely a treat to enjoy this time of year. The birds are exceedly busy as are the rest of us. To the young and not-so-young, we wish you the happiest of Maytime and early June! • • • THE WINCHESTER INN offers you the romance of olde Cape May!
