Varsity Letters in Drama
^ by Ed Harnett * ERMA — It’s "move over” time for the proud winners of varsity letters at Lower Cape May Regional High School here. To the ranks of those who have participated on the gridiron, courts, diamond, hockey field and track have been added those who also have performed — before the footlights. TO RECOGNIZE THE dedication and hardwork of students who have helped to shape one of the most active high school theater groups in South Jersey, LCMR has instituted a varsity letter program in Dramatics. , To qualify for a Varsity Letter a student must be in his or her senior year and have worked (in a non-instrumental capacity) in at least four high school productions open to the public. Jr. Varsity letters are earned by senior students who have taken part in three high school productions (in a
non-instrumental capacity). Those seniors who have worked in a high school production their senior year but don’t qualify for a Varsity or Jr. Varsity Letter, receive Certificates of Commendation. THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS have been awarded Varsity Letters in Dramatics: David Holzmer, Michele March, Colleeq McDade and Art Sparks. Jr. Varsity Letters were awarded to: Chris Barker, Jerome Carr, Paula Fontannaz, Ruth Ann Kanady, John F Kennedy, Mark McPherson, Sandy Moyer, and Lisa Newton. The senior students to whom Certificates of Commendation are awarded are: Marcia Arrington, Kerry Axelsson, Laurie Ann Burgin, John DiCola, Margaret Hand. Donna Herman.
