The Cape Mays Dolly Stango
West Cape May can only be talked to while running from one bridge game to another...or taking the bus to New York...or Just going somewhere to socialize. She'fethe busiest senior in this area almost, but a "mean" game of bridge she does play! IT WAS A delightful scene — watching Bill Harvey, of Van Note Harvey Assocs. taking a leisurely stroll on the Cape May boardwalk with beautiful daughter Emmy, holding on to Daddy as she looked at him and smiled, enjoying their conversation. It was a long walk back to their home at Cape May’s far end...but early morning exercise seemed to agree wth them...and the weather was perfect too. HOT DOGS with hoihemade Chilli was the success of the recent Cape May Rescue Squad Aux. with Lillian Sterling, and Nettifi Duncan in oldfashioned hats officiating at their recent Yard Sale. Kitty Ixiu Pritchard was chairperson with coTnmittee of Mary Hacklcr. Peg Fossett, Julie Ginder, Dolly Stango, and eten prez Helen McGahey helping. A total of $703 was raised, with so many goodies ranging from collector's items to a hammock, shutters, wicker chairs, down to a complete wardrobe both for women and men too. THERE ARE LOTS of unsung heroes too in this Cape May Rescue Squad — volunteers who comqwnning to your assisnhee whenever needed. Anne Schweitzer, William Thawley, Danny deSatnlck, Doug Ginder, Carol Johnson & Steve Beck — all dedicated and trained to help whenever and wherever needed. Chief Joseph Crouch, does the overseeing. Incidently, there is need for more help. Perhaps you’d like to join this very fine group of men and women. If so, just phone the Squad room and say you’ll help. There’s a training program and you take your choice in whatever it is that interests you most. • • • HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Victoria Michael Manlandro for so many years of marriage.
