-Reading For The Turtles-

COURT HOUSE - The 3rd annual summer reading club will be sponsored by the Couhty Library, beginning June 15. This year, the club theme will center on turtles and efforts to aid the turtles in the county area. Children may register for the reading club beginhing June 15 at any of the library branches, the bookmobile, or at the main library. Every time a child checks out a book, a paper

turtle will be given to the child. This way, they can collect their own head of turtles. • On August 27, near the end of the summer, the library will sponsor the faTfewell party for all members of the turtle reading club. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. For further information about the reading club, call 465-7837.

Performance By Policeman Commended

Lower Township Patrolman John T. Hammer recently, received an official commendation for his outstanding performance in the New Jersey State PoRce Instructor Training Course. During the training session, held at Sea Girt from March 30 to April 10, Ptl. Hammer finished first in his class of 16. The course is designed to acquaint and train local police officers in Brass, Organ Concert Set

COURT HOUSE - Richard Sterling, band director, Middle Township School System, and Stevenson C. Chase, director of music. First Baptist Church, Wildwood, will present music of Young, Scheidt, Bach, Goemann. Franck. Langlais, Reger and Edmundson and others here at First Baptist Church, Maple and Atlantic Aves., 8 p.m. June 16. The program for the brass and organ concert will be moderately light and will last about an hour and a half (intermission included).
