Spoils Teams have brought great pride and satisfaction to the area over the past few years with their accomplishments both on an off the field. Also, that their on the field achievements have resulted in many triumphs for themselves as well as much satisfaction to countless others. PHILIP JUDYSKI, council president, noted that some of the champions have homes in Avalon, such as Archibald McLeish, Billy Cunningham. Bill Bergy, and Ron Jaworski, therefore we owe these men our support and gratitude. The Chamber of Commerce and the borough have decided to honor the Philadelphia sports teams for their accomplishments and will do so by having representatives of the Phillies Baseball Club. The Philadelphia 76'ers Basketball Team, the Philadelphia Fever Indoor Soccer Team, and the Flyers Hockey Club wil visit and receive the honors and privileges to be bestowed by the borough.
