IT’S CALLED The Sea In The City It's a liny shop selling handmade articles - all handcrafted by the Monroe family. Daddy Monroe makes the various lamp arrangements with shells, stones and figurines. He also does ink drawings and prints, while sitting outside looking skyward — catching a seagull for one of his models, or copying the beautiful sunset as it spreads before him. Daughter. Tara, makes the original jewelry designs — necklaces, bracelets, pins, key chains, even some ‘Lil’ Professors" <for children) all stones, painted shells with faces, and even decuipage •XIBTEN TO the Ocean" is a conch shell with a sign •'batteries not required " Many nautical gifts make up the collection of shells, stones, and semi-precious stones, all from the Cape May area. The place? The beachfront called the Akroteria in Cape May. To make it all complete. Mamma Monroe does her part at home, bringing it in for display and putting her Cape May Diamonds &ut for sale to passing tourists, etc. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, headquartered at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Cape May, has a special drive on for new members. Louise is responsible for the inside beauty of this great house — seeing to all the furniture, fixtures, curtail. rugs, etc.etc.. — while Bill looks to the outside. The result is a drastic change all a la Victorian motif as it was originally. Bill Zerby is also vicepresident of the MidAtlantic Center for the Arts, which makes its headquarters on the grounds in the Hill House just to the side of the mansion. It’s worth the trip to this unique restored complex...you're bound to meet Louise and Bill Zerby — smiling as they work about. • • • I.II.I.IANTIIOM%is not only busy as housewife in West Cape May. but as you go past her home, you hear beautiful organ music. It’s "Lil” (as she’s known to everyone), doing her thing...playing so many old favorites on her grand Hammond organ. Husband Merle would rather play golf. He’s not musically inclined but does enjoy his wife’s playing. OTT HOWARD, local electrician for ever so many years, makes his home in West Cape May along with wife Octavine, they have a large family in

the area. Ott is eighty sum years young, but still working and still able to take a little time to laugh and speak with customers. STILL HOSPITALIZED is Rose Bove. although she’s recuperating nicely after her pacemaker operation. Rose has been so active both at her church and politically too...so many send get-well wishes

from all over town. Marty Oates is also hospitalized, hopefully on the mend and with so many good wishes sent to her too. Still recuperating too is Dr. Irving Tencnhaum. He’s missed by so many who are wishing him all good things and speedy recovery. Son. Allan says his Dad is snapping back fa§t and thanks all for so many cards, etc. CONGRATULATIONS To Allen Tenebatim Upon his graduation from college...now we’ll be. seping more of this handsome young iiian as he summers once again with proud parents. Dr. and Mrs. Irving Tenenbaum.
