Hafele has been named assistant vice president and branch manager of the bank’s. Stone Harbor office. A member of Marine’s staff since 1975, Hafele had formerly been with the bank's trust department. A GRADUATE OF the Pennsylvania Bankers . Association Trust School of Bucknell University, Hafele has been a resident of Stone Harbor for the past eight years. He is a past commander of the Stone Harbor American Legion and is a member of the Stone Harbor.- and Cape May Chamber of Commerce and the County Historical Society. DANIEL F. CAPE MAY - During May, traffic on the- Cape May-Lewes Ferry increased by 2,594 vehicles and increased by 6,964 passengers from May,

1900.

These statistics were made public today by Theodore C. Bright,.' general manager, and are--, included in his monthly 1 report to the commissioners of the Delaware River and Bay Authority. FERRY TRAFFIC for May was 20,481 vehicles and 53,662 passengers compared to 17,887 vehicles and 46,698 passengers for May, 1900, an increase of 14.50 percent for vehicles and 14.91 percent for passengers. For the twelve-month period ended May 31, 1981, traffic was 241,073 vehicles and 722,208 passengers compared to 207,777 vehicles and 615,608 passengers for the twelvemonth period ended May 3J|, 1900, an increase of 16.02 percent for vehicles and of 17.32 percent for ‘ passengers. Purchasing Head ' Honored STONE HARBOR - James'M. Hill Jr., director of procurement for Raytheon Co., Lexington, Mass., has been awarded the highest honor 'Of the purchasing profession,- the J. Shipman Gold Medal for 1961, at the annual meeting of the Natioanl Association of Purchasing Management in New Orleans. He joined Raytheon in 1967. As the company’s senior purchasing ex-' ecutive, he directs all facets of procurement policy and implementation for Raytheon and its 11 operating divisions and 12 major subsidiaries. Hill establishes purchasing policies and procedures, oversees purchases of more thap 12 billion annually in goods and services, and administers a companywide staff of sdme 650 purchasing specialists.
