ONION SOUP 4 larger onions H Cup margarine I Tablespoon flour 8 bouillion cubes I ^ quarts water s'* 1 loaf french bread H lb. gruyere or swiss cheese Thinly slice onions, seffhrate rings, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon flour, brown in 'h cup margarine.
Bring M cups water to boil, add boullion cubes and the. lightly browned onion. Stir,cover, and simmer 20 minuted. Slice french bread approximately 1 in. thick, toast. Pour soup into small oven casseroles or souffle dishes, place slice of toast on top and sprinkle heavily with cheese. Place under broiler until bubbly.
