New Code Cuts Language Snags

COCRT HOUSE - The National Marine. Fisheries Service in St. Petersburg. Fla., has developed a “Phonic Code System." to, provide a means of communication between,, fishing vessels wfth language differences. A meeting to discuss use of the code system will be held 7'to 10 p m. July 16 at the Holiday Inn on Rt. 37 east in Toms River, it is

reported by the state | Marine Advisory Service through the county Extension Office here. The service believes that all fishermen- should be aware of the code. Since .foreign vessels operate in Xhe U.S. Fisheries Conservation Zone and the possibility.of a gear conflict exists, fishermen are urged to have a copy of the code aboard.

TUCKAHOE - For the first time. Upper Township will fi«M an All-Star team to play in.lhe Little League Tournament, under the charter from the National Little League headquarters in Williamsport. Pa The Upper Township Little League All-Stars, managed by M.O. Brown Jr., will consist of the best players in the Upper Township Little League program, which consists of * six teams.
