be proud to be the housewife of such a unique and interesting hqme. £• , Mr. Irmler’s hobbies include collecting old tools — a natural in such a setting — and photography. In the backyard can be seen an example of his . carpentry ability—a tree house which combines both old and modern lines in its saltbox roofline and winding staircase. As to photography, a recent example of his work is of a scene he captured almost at his front door—a Breyer’s Ice Cream delivery truck colliding with a Breyer s Ice Cream sign. The builder of the Irmler (a.k.a. Samuel Buck House) home is unknown. What is certain is its popularity on the Old House Tour — and the fact that a 200-year-old structure can provide a wonderful, cozy home, especially for occupants who enjoy sharing a sense of history. Even if Washington didn’t sleep here.
