Dr. Braun Speaker At Anniversary

,N WILDWOOD - On Sunday the congregation at the North Wildwood United Methodist Church will celebrate 83 years of Chris- , tian witness to this community. Organized in, 1898, the Anglesea Melhoflisv Episcopal Church moved from the school building on Central Ave. the present location at Second and Central. The original church was erectedfat a cost of $1,823. An additional $200 was paid for furniture, and $150 for the lot! IN 1093, Mrs. Caleb B. Matthews, a summer visitor used a straw hat to collect money from people returning from fishing on her husband’s boat With

the money she financed a bell for the church, inscribed, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laderTand I will give you rest." This bell can now be seen in the tower on the Central Ave. side of the present structure. The original building was demolished in 19ti7, and Die present building was opened for worship in June, 1967. THIS YEAR'S anniversary celebration will feature preaching,of the Rev. Dr. Andrew (mristian Braun who has published several books, among tWem The Conquest of Life, Minister Doctor, The Healing Team, and The Har-

monious Highway to. Health. Dr. Braun is a longtime member of the International Order of St. Luke the Physician, and has addressed that body on several occasions. He will Speak on the. topic: “Conquest Assures Victory." There will be a song service at 10:45 a.m. with Bob Wirtz leading. At the piano will be John Evans, organist at the Third Moravian Church of Philadelphia. Jayne Holley, organist at North Wildwood UMC will be at the Console. Following the worship service will be a time of fellowship and refreshments.

CAPE MAY - Dr. Bob Wells and Dr. Carl Mclntire will be speaking at the Cape May Bible Conference July 18-25. Dr. Wells is pastor of the 4,000-member Central Baptist Church of Anaheim^ Calif., and founder and director of the Heiftage Schools.
