Talk On Birds For Civic Club AVALON — Dr. Ferris Swackhamer will giie an illustrated talk entitled “Legend of Birds" at the Women’s Civic Club at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the Avalon Room, Borough Hall, 32nd St. and Dtine Dr. Dr. Swackhamer, professor emeritus from Union College, Cranford, is currently doing research at the Wetlands Institute on nutrients in the water and petroleum materials in water sediment and afiimals. His hobby is the study of birds. He has been a bird columnist and lecturer for some time.
