STONE HARBOR - A slide-tape introduction, followed by a guided twilight tour of the Bird Sanctuary, will- be presented by the Wetlands Institute at 7 p.m. Aug. 10. The sanctuary is the home and nesting area for nine species ' of herons and egrets common to the - shore. For further information or to register, call 368-1211, How To Help Bird In Peril STONE HARBOR - "To Help a'Bird in Peril” is the topic of a slide program to be presented by Lynn Frink, Director of Tri-State Bird Rescue, at The Wetlands Institute on Stone Harbor Blvd., 8:15 p.m., Saturday. The program will deal with methods for treatment of injured and oiled birds. Tri-State Bird Rescue has trained over 1,500 people in nine states , to respond to major oil spill crises involving bird*, as well as conducting research on treatment of injured birds. Shorebird

STONE HARBOR - A close-up look into the private life of the nesting birds 6f beach and marsh will be presented by Bob Hendricks at the Wetlands Institute on Stone Harbor Blvd., at 8:15 SaturiiayA Aug. 15. A long-time resident of Cape May County, Dr. Hendricks spends many hours observing and photographing local birds. He will share his color slides and knowledge of the daily behavior of herons, skimmers and terns.

CAPE MAY PT. - The Cape May Bird Observatory will be offering a course on the identification of shorebirds, consisting of three slide seminars from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Wetlands Institute, Stone Harbor. Aug. 12, 19 and 26 and three Saturday morning field trips to Stone Harbor, South Cape May Meadows, apd Brigantine National Wildlife Refuge.
