Lots Put On Sale By Boro

AVALON — The borough is putting three boroughowned lots up for public auction Aug. 29. The three lots art located ht 42nd and 4th Ave. and are bayview lots, according to. borough administrator Andrew BedMAC to Aid City Library ^ CAPE MAY - All income from activities conducted by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts over the Labor Day weekend will be contributed to the Cape May Library to assist the Library in moving and to celebrate a new home for the library. "The board voted unanimously to make this contribution at a special meeting last Saturday morning," noted MAC president Herbert Beitel. "Everyone wanted to help and wanted to do it at once. That is why this area gained such witte support." ALL MONIES earned on Saturday, September 5, Sunday, September 6, Monday, September 7, and Tuesday, September 8 will be ; turned over to the library. Reminders On Mopeds

OCEAN CITY - With the increasing popularity of the small motorized hikes, Police Chief Dominick Longo has issued a reminder that mopeds are motor vehicles, not toys. All state laws applicable to bicycles apoly to mopeds, and there,, are specific laws regarding their use. Operators must be' at least 15 with moped license, or licensed drivers. CAPE MAY The city has enterpd into a contract with Appraisal Surveys Inc., a New Jersey real estate appraisal firm, to conduct a revaluation program for all real property here. The same firm completed the last revaluation here in 1975. Aide Due Planner Status, Pay

VILLAS — The Lower Township Committee will hold a hearing Monday on a proposed amendment to the township salary ordinance to establish the position of a township planner. Under the new provisions, the salary for the new officer will be set between $10,000 and $15,000 retroactive to August 10. The present ordinance doesn't provide for a planner. The dkUes of such an officer are iKurrently performed by planning aid Joe Zahora. Accordng to township' clerk Claudia Hammer, Mr. Zahora will probably be named to the new position. THE SAME evening, the Committee will also consider an ordinance lowering the maximum age of applicants to the local volunteer fire companies; this is being mandated by
