Flyers, Cops In Benefit • SEA ISLE CITY - The Philadelphia- Flyers Hockey Team will play a benefit softball game, against the. city's Police Dept, for the local Pee Wee Hockey League. This is the last of the Flyers' summer softball games and they want to end on a winning note but. the police, after two loses, are hungry for a win. STONE HARBOR With a 7-3 record the Aces won the Lions Little League title. buKVere defeated 5 to 0 in Ihe AllStar game. \ Each member of the team received individual’ trophies while the members of the All-Stars also received awards. Four awards were made to outstanding players. Bob McCreary, pitcher for the Aces, received a special award for pitching a perfect game. Also with the Aces. Rich Mirzayan received the Bob Dewey Most Improved Player award. MAYVILLE - The Invitational Tennis Tournament was won by the doubles combo, of Rich Moulder of Rio Grande and Boh Young of Ocean View They defeated Tony Ferrante and Jack Bowman from Cape May by a score of 6-4 and 6-3.

This tournhment, sport- . sored by Dave Bond, was held- on Aug 15 and 16. followed by a\cocktail party and dinhenat the Bond estate sixteen players participated in the event, among them '■Roy "Bootcry" Smith and Gene "State Farm" Sanders.

To be eligible, a youngster must be 9 years old and not 13 years old before September 1 weigh between 65 aqd 95 lbs., and not be beyohd the 81 h grade. Sign-ups for the Lower Township Raiders Football Team will be at the same time and place A-person must weight between 85 and 135 lbs., not be 14 before September 1 and cannot be beyond the 8th grade ANY ADULT interested in coaching or helping to coach football should call the Lower Township Recreation Center at 886-7880 between 9 to 3 Monday thru Friday.
