This is the last column in our series for the summer season. Wc have certainly enjoyed writing about the Cape and things coastal I hope you have enjoyed reading the articles and have learned something new about the creature? that share our

seashore environment.

As the season shifts to fall, the complexion of our coastal wetlands will changt? from lush green to red and brown. The wildlife changcs^too, with warblers and hawks migrating South over the Cape inf great numbers. Herons and osprey will also wisely be going South for the winter. The summer crowd is also

shifting to far away places. ,

Now that the crowd is thinning, we invite you to spend a

leisurely hour or-so visiting the Wetlands Institute. Our ‘‘window walls" on the marsh will afford you an ideal place to view

.the seasons,’ changing (' , For your winter heading, I would re^jmmf nd a visit to our Tidepool Shop, the local bookstore, or coVnmunity library to search for such titles as The Sandy Shore by John Hay, The

Winter Beach.by Ogbum, and the classical The Edge of the Sea
