extra space, with tables in the walkways and shoppers to delight all'the business in the building. In 1975, the first year the Chamber sponsored this sale 27 stores participated. This year 61 stores were' in the sale, an increase of 125 percent in the seven years. James Fisher, general chairman of the Chamber’s Merchants Committee, was delighted with the results, and claimed if the -rain had held oft' for another hour or §p^ll the salei» records for the seven years would have been broken. ^

By M’Ellen Rowland Many clubs are struggling to maintain their members these days but Stone Harbor’s Women's Club is the exception. They recently gave a luncheon reception to welcome 26 new members, and club President Dotty Stump proudly announced that, for the first time, year-round residents now outnumber the summer members. The club—whose clubhouse offers a mainroom and terrace having a glorious view of the beach and ocean at 96th St.—is a non-profit, philanthropic organization; and the officers and board members donate use of the club, terrace and parking space to similar groups wishing to use^it for a wor-
