Hobie Assn. Forms

STONE HARBOR - Due to interest shown by a group of boating enthusiast, a new organization to be called the Stone Harbor Hobie Cat Fleet was .formed following the successful races at the 123rd St. beach. Bob Hunter who organized the Two races in August is organizer of the new group. When it was mentioned that an association of boating fans cpuld be put together by Hunter, some 15 captains and crew

members immediately joined. The groups plans call for a newsletter to be published and mailed to all members a couple of times during the year. Officers will be elected in the near future and a complete programm of events will be announced shortly for a busy schedule of races next summer. Anyone desiring to join this 'hewly formed group may contact Hunter at 368-8499

STONE HARBOR - The first annual Tsood Sportsmanship Award was i presented to Ray Echart and Monty Tyndall by the Stone Harbor Hobbie Cat fleet As a final salute to the many vacationing boaters, six Hobie Cat races were held on the 123rd St. beach in Stone Harbor.
